  How to install Placido-Shop

Placido-Shop comes with an interface to install it.

Important: Before installing Placido-Shop, you must ensure the following:
- You must have a hosting (a web server), a shared hosting is enough, with PHP available (version >= 7.5).
- You must have a domain name or a subdomain.
- You must install a security certificate for this domain ( https ).
- You must be able to create a MySQL database and make sure you have all the privileges on it.
- Two images, one for your logo and one for your social networks.
- We also recommend creating a mailbox that will serve as a tool to send emails from the application.
You must be able to use the SMTP protocol of this mailbox, refer to your email service provider's instructions for SMTP settings.

  To install Placido-Shop, follow these steps:

1 - Download the latest version of Placido-Shop.

2 - Unzip it.

3 - Copy all unzipped files and folders to the root of your server (hosting).
  Note : With some hosts you will have to copy them into the "public_html" folder.

4 - Create a database, keep the connection informations to it such as:
- The host of the database (generally "localhost" for shared hosting)
- The name of the database
- The name of the database user
- The database password
  Make sure the database has no tables.

5 - Connect to your site using the following address :
https://my-shop.com/INSTALL, simply add "/INSTALL" after your domain name,
you will then access the installation interface of your store.

6 - Start by filling in all the fields concerning the database,
then click on the "Test database connection" button.
- If everything is ok, go to the next step.
- If you encounter an error, check that you have not made a mistake in the information entered in the different fields.
Some hosts add prefixes to the database names,
check that you have correctly entered the database name with the prefixes added by the host.

7 - Then fill in all the requested fields.
- For the "domain name" field, indicate the domain name (or subdomain) on which you will install Placido-Shop without www or https:// in front (e.g. my-shop.com).
Don't worry about the information provided here,
you can modify it at any time from your management interface.
  For your administration login password and for your mailbox,
choose long and complex passwords of at least 16 characters.

8 - Click on the "Install Placido-Shop" button at the bottom of the page.
You will see a countdown on the screen and then you will be redirected to the administration page of your e-commerce.

You have successfully installed Placido-Shop!

  You access your management interface by adding "/[your administration folder]" to the address of your site.
eg: https://my-shop.com/ADMIN/

You can change the name of the administration folder whenever you want,
we advise you not to use the "ADMIN" folder name present during installation.

  Note : If you still see the "INSTALL" folder at the root of your site, delete it.

  In case of error during your installation, first delete all tables from your database.
Placido-Shop installation must be done with a database empty of any tables.
If the /INSTALL folder is no longer present in the site folders,
download it again to the site files and folder base, at the root of the site.
